About

Universal Salt Iodization (USI) Bangladesh Supported by UNICEF. There is a total of 310 Salt Mills registered with the BSCIC for salt production. Out of which, 129 (42%) are currently functional. BSCIC revoked the license of remaining salt mills either due to irregular production of salt or due to non-compliance with existing standards of producing adequately iodized salt for edible purposes.
